Played at Duffy's Lounge - Chinae Navy Base... Had a great show with a light crowd... With the few people that were there - they definitely showed loyalty and were very appreciative for our show and really just dug our sound... The cool thing was that since we almost had the room to ourselves - I got a chance to video the guys when they solo'd and got the entire show - with one exception - when one of our drivers Mr. Yee did the butt dance in front of my video!! It was all in good fun...
Days 18 & 19 - Off
Yes!!! 2 days to relax... it was supposed to only be 1 day, but our Monday morning show didn't happen afterall... Everyone took advantage of their extra free time and got some gift shopping in too! I found some really cool things to get for my friends anf family... got myself some really cool mementos too!
Day 20 - Camp Carroll
What a cool place... Camp Carroll had many military personnell from Puerto Rico that stuck around till the end to enjoy our sound... This camp had it together too... Two of the guys were from Mexico and they whipped up a great dinner for us and they even had a show too!!! The show observed many of the Latin styles dances Salsa included - all in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month...
Day 21 - Taegu AB
Mmmmmmm Pizza for dinner!!! We played on full stomaches to a room of Army and Air Force personnell that loved the show and afterwards stuck around and had some cold beers with us... Paris gave his sticks to a Panamanian dude that loved the show... We were even greeted by one of the guards that had us on hold to get on the base due to stict orders not to let anyone on the base that fit my vans description to a tee... Funny thing is 3 comics were also on the circuit doing shows... 1 Black, 1 White and 1 Mexican dude... apparently they were telling jokes in bad taste and were insulting to the Colonel and were I'd guess politically in bad taste... So there we are Myself, Gary - who's White and Larry - who is Black and we fit the description of the 3 comics - LOL!!! Naturally it all got sorted out and we had our show of course - Cool thing was - the guard that had us on hold came down too... We took a picture together to remember the guy doing his job!!! Cool guy! Made new friends and exchanged emails to send pix later on... Put to rest a bottle of Bacardi Limon with an Army and Air Force dude that shared in a drinking tradition with me - it was all cool - Well - peace out brotha!
Day 22 - Kwanju AB
We're all set up and checked in at a really nice hotel off the base for the night!!! Firenze Hotel... very nice place - electric toilet too! At sound check we ran through our new song "It's A Living" and Javier and my song "Eden"! The guys all really like "Eden" which is cool... I just found out that the weekend after we get home or the 2nd weekend that we're supposed to spend 2 days in a studio recording the new album... Hmm - not sure what's going on there... I'm having a great time, but not sure about continuing with the group! I'm doing the job, but I truelly feel they need a different type of singer... Anyhow - I'm having a great time! All is well in Korea! Thinking of all of you! gregorio
