It was evident that by the time we were checking in to get to Korea - I was definitely sick... runny nose, sneezing, fever - the whole works... Everything was a nightmare to me and all I could do ride it out...
Day 11 - Korea
We finally made it to Korea, but I was in no shape to be sociable... Our driver Mr. Tai was very talkative on the other hand and he was a crazy diver too!!! In Korea they're celebrating Chusok - which is similiar to our Thanksgiving and many people travel out of town to see family! Once we arrived in Seoul, we checked in at the base to find out that we would be staying off base due to the holiday crowd and vacancies not readily available... So we've ended up in Hotel Kaya... kinda cool here - aside from my cold!
Day 11 - Korea - Hotel Kaya
Once we all got our room keys - we all disappeared into our own woorlds... Being in the shape I was in - I was happy to be alone... I was dying for sleep and peace and quiet... I pretty much don't know what time it was when I got into my room and my room didn't have a clock! However, i did catch some interesting Korean television and soon fell asleep with aid of all my flu and cold medicine intake...
Day 12 - Korea
It was like one of those old Twilight Zone episodes when the guy wakes up in his room a bit disoriented... The meds had me a bit dizzy and all the language on tv was mostly Korean... I caught one of the news channels and luckily they posted the time 8:34 a.m. Hmmm not bad I thought. I ended up spending most of my day in my room watching tv and laying down... This was our 1st day off in awhile and I hadn't heard from anyone all day... It was around 3:45 when i decided to get out and go eat... I went a few blocks and funny enough I ended up eating at a KFC... it was pretty good! I tried buying some saline for contact lenses, but I thought the guy was asking too much for the small bottle I had picked out... I said I be back later... right now our $1.00 is = to their Won @ 1,100...
Day 13 - Korea
I'm still sick, but feeling slightly better, Javier and got on the subway and he showed me some of the places the guys have been to the last couple of nights... Tonights our first show in Korea... I really don't want to sing!!!
